Black Crappie (Pomoxis nigro-maculatus) "The race" depicts a pair of crappie going for a fly. This carving was donated to the Nanaimo, B.C. Fish & Game Club for a fundraising auction. Proceeds going towards fisheries conservation projects.
Striped Marlin (Tetrapturus audax) "Vicious". Striped Marlin are probably one of the swiftest and the most efficient predators of the open ocean. The reason why flying fish learn to fly is to avoid striped marlins.
