Wall hangers. Sometimes space for art sculptures is limited and wall hangers are the best option. They can be detailed or natural finished. This Largemouth bass was carved from one piece of wood. That includes all the fins. Careful consideration needs to be paid to the wood grains which could easily split and break off one of the delicate fins. The bass was painted to life like colours with iridescent shimmer of a real fish. (Sold)
Wall hanger. This Coho salmon was carved and left with a natural finish. The wood grains of this piece of spruce was too beautiful to cover up with paint. The only painting was on the eye. There is something about the eyes that give life to a carving. As Shakespeare so eloquently said, "the eye is the window of the soul".
